With the free V-Radio application, you can listen to online radio stations on your PC. Select a station (there are a lot to choose from), launch the playback, then go about your business while the music plays in the background. As a mater of fact, as I am writing this, V-Radio is running in the background, playing a Greek radio station called Rock 105.5.

To get started with V-Radio, you must download a 1.6MB archive (won’t take long to download such a lightweight file), extract the setup.exe inside, and run it. A setup wizard will then show up and guide you through all the steps you need to take in order to install V-Radio on your Windows-powered machine. It’s a standard installation process that will go along smoothly.

V-Radio features a dark-themed interface that presents your radio lists, a scrolling bar with all the stations in a selected list, info on the station you last accessed, and buttons for accessing the latest V-Radio news, hot and featured radio stations, a browse function for finding more stations, and a handy Help function that lets you send a message to the developer.

By default, V-Radio comes with radio lists for Athens, Greece and for Cyprus. If you want to, you can get plenty of other radio lists. Just click the Browse button, scroll through all available playlists, click one to view all the radio stations it’s comprised of, then download the playlist with a simple mouse click. There is, of course, the option to create your very own radio list. You can do this from the Settings Menu, the Stations Manager submenu.

If you don’t know what radio station to choose, you can check out the Hot and Featured stations.
If you know precisely what station you want to listen to, you can favorite it so you have easy access to it.

Download radio lists, create your own lists, favorite stations, listen to online radio stations, visit a station’s website – you can do all that for free with the V-Radio application.

Pros

It will take little time to install V-Radio on your Windows-powered PC. There are many radio lists to download and many radio stations to listen to. You can favorite the stations you like. With a mouse click, you can visit a radio station’s website. V-Radio is freeware.

Cons

The interface feels a bit too cluttered.
